John Bradshaw - Girls Can Do Anything
I remember years ago when the phrase, "Girls can do anything," became popular. I'm sure there was good intent in that phrase, girls or women can run companies, have a career, be scientists, or professional athletes or whatever they want.
I don't think anyone would disagree, as women at every strata of society have achieved great things. Something God values in a woman, and I hasten to add, no doubt in a man as well, is found in Proverbs 31:10, "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies".
And you know, rubies are really valuable. On her way to doing anything, or on his way I think we can add, a young woman or young man needs to remember virtue, those qualities of true strength of character, because whether you achieve your dreams or not, living virtuously in the sight of God, honestly it's of far greater importance.
