John Bradshaw - Opportunity Is Everywhere
The following is not a comment on the afterlife, but a comment on the human capacity to want. Proverbs 27:20, "Hell and Destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied".
You see a bigger house, a new watch, a nicer car, a pretty girl, or a fine-looking man, you may want some of that. Not all wants are wrong of course, but humans have this limitless capacity for desire, which can lead them into deep water. Between noticing and desiring, there really needs to be a control mechanism, that mechanism is the Holy Spirit. If you'll surrender your desires to Him, He'll guide you to make wise choices, or to exercise a restraint where that's appropriate.
Opportunity is everywhere, for good or evil. Let the Spirit of God moderate your desires and keep them in harmony with God's will for your life. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
