John Bradshaw - Nobody Wants to Work
I've spoken to more employers than I can count who've told me the toughest part of their job is finding employees and they say, "Because no one wants to work," which I have hard time with because I was raised in a context where to work hard was honorable and to not work if you could work was dishonorable.
My father was raised on a farm and had a very strong work ethic, worked hard to support his family, he lived out Proverbs 12:27, "The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is man's precious possession".
Integrity demands a person who is able to do an honest day's work, it's a principle of heaven and a blessing. Teach children to work and you've done them a great service. Ezekiel referenced the six working days. If we lose sight of the value and the honor of hard work, we lose a lot. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
