John Bradshaw - He Acted Like a Fool
If it was funny, it would have been funny. A man talking to a donkey as though he were talking to a person, but it's not funny, it's tragic. Balaam disobeyed God by entering into negotiations with the moabites to curse Israel.
Balaam could not see the angel that appeared to the donkey causing it to turn, then press against a wall, then fall to the ground. Balaam lost it and beat the donkey, which spoke to Balaam saying, "What have I done to you"?
And as though it was perfectly normal, Balaam answered the donkey in Numbers 22:29, "Because you have abused me," before telling the donkey he'd have killed it if he could have.
Balaam acted like a fool simply because he was stubbornly disobeying God. Ignoring God will make a fool out of you too. It's always better to yield to His will and act with, rather more, good sense. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
