John Bradshaw - Learn From Others
While filming It Is Written programs in Ephesus, in Western Turkey, we were at the famous Celsius Library when we noticed something; cruise ships stopped nearby and so there's a steady stream, or maybe a river of tourists flowing through.
Over the years the steps leading down to the historic library have worn smooth, and while we were there, in moments, well minutes, something like 11 people slipped on the smooth stone and landed right on their behinds.
What saved me from that same fate was learning from what happened to others. Spiritually, you want to learn from the mistakes of others and the successes of others.
Paul said so in Philippians 4 and verse 9, "The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you". Save yourself some hurt and learn from the mistakes and successes of others. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
