John Bradshaw - Cooperation
One of the things you learn, if you've played on as many teams as I have, is that you really have to listen to the captain. Even if you don't think the captain's right, things fall apart for the team, if you don't get behind the captain's decisions.
Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit would be given to believers, saying in John 14:26, "But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things".
The Spirit of God is trying to lead you. So, how successful is your experience going to be if the Holy Spirit leads you in one direction, and you go in another. Just like a team, when the captain says we're going to run it or we're playing defense, and the players do the complete opposite.
We are to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. We surrender, he leads, we follow: that's the Holy Spirit and you in something you could easily describe as teamwork. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
