John Bradshaw - Resistance
The nineteen-year-old man who robbed a bank in Texas fled the scene of the crime of course, but he fled on an electric rental scooter, for which he needed to use an app which contained his personal information. Not a successful crook.
Another who flees according to James 4:7 is the devil. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you", the Bible says. It's not a disavow of the work of the Holy Spirit to resist the devil. He suggests sin, and you resist in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus resisted when he was tempted in the wilderness quoting scripture, and resolutely refusing to yield to temptation.
Instead of assisting the devil, you want to resist the devil. He's more powerful than you, but not more powerful than you connected to Jesus. The devil will experience defeat when you resist him in the spirit of Christ. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
