John Bradshaw - Even in Dark Moments
A Roman jail cell was probably the last place on earth Paul wanted to be. Uncomfortable, isolated, hot and summer, cold in winter, and no shortage of enemies. He was almost certain to be put to death, and ultimately he was. But notice what he says in Philippians 4:22, "All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household".
Incredibly! People in the household of the wicked Roman emperor Nero became believers in Jesus through the ministry of Paul. Without his imprisonment those individuals would never have been saved. God used Paul's calamitous situation to bring light into the darkest of places.
It may be that when you find yourself undergoing a trying experience, God wants to use that experience or you in the midst of it to bring light and truth to others. Even in dark moments God has a special plan for you. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
