John Bradshaw - The Plastic Brain
Your brain is plastic, that is it's moldable. The human brain was created with the ability to adapt to environmental changes by forming new neural connections. This is called Neuroplasticity; it's the quality that allows some people to recover after a traumatic brain injury.
It's like your brain receives software updates, and hardware updates as you go through life; it's known that stress can change not only the functions but also the structure of the brain itself. Through communion with God, through reading his word, through prayer, God can remake your mind and rewire your thinking process.
Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". You were created in such a way that your mind may be literally renewed; the Holy Spirit can do a greater work than you've ever realized. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
