John Bradshaw - You Don't Have to Resort to Shenanigans
In the 1980s some horse racing people in Queensland Australia replaced their slow horse with a faster horse in a race in Brisbane. Dishonest, illegal and it didn't work out well. The horse they used in their cheating scheme was the wrong color, so they used hair dye to fix that, but then they realized the replacement horse didn't have the white markings it needed. So they used paint to paint on those white markings. Unsurprisingly, people went to prison.
If you don't feel like you're good enough for eternal life, you don't have to resort to Shenanigans. You go to God and you say, "I'm a sinner. I can't be what you want me to be, so I'm trusting in Jesus to do in my life what I can't do". Philippians 2:13 says, "It is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure". That's the answer: Jesus. He'll do what you cannot. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
