John Bradshaw - Knocking on the Door

John Bradshaw - Knocking on the Door
TOPICS: Every Word

When you consider the seven churches of Revelation represent different periods of history, the church of Laodicea would represent the church today. Laodicea means a people judged, and here we are living in the time of earth's final judgment.

Jesus says in Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock". He's knocking at the door of your heart, at the door of every person's heart. He doesn't say he might knock, Jesus knocks, and he's doing so right now.

When something made you stop and think, when a trial arose in your life, when temptation pressed itself into your life and something said, "No, no, that's not the way", that's all Jesus knocking at the door of your heart.

The only person who can open that door is you. Jesus doesn't force his way in, he knocks, and he's waiting for you to open the door to him now. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
