John Bradshaw - A Special Day
We know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25, but it's nice that society has chosen a day to emphasize some of the nicer things. Time together, sharing with others, enjoying good food, taking time off work, now that reminds me of another day a day that comes once a week.
After creation God set aside the seventh-day Sabbath as the weekly day of rest, a day off, a day for worship and church attendance, a day for family, a day where you might choose to eat some good food a day where you can look for opportunities to bless someone else; what's not to love. So while you're enjoying Christmas day and I hope you are, keep in mind that special once a week day God gave to the human family.
Jesus said in Mark 2:27, "The Sabbath was made for man," for the human family. While you enjoy this day be sure to remember that special gift from God. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
