John Bradshaw - The Church of Brotherly Love
The town of Philadelphia in Asia Minor was named in honor of a Pergamon king named Attalus II, Philadelphus who was loyal to his brother, that idea of brotherly love is what led to the naming of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and presumably, the Philadelphia is in Tennessee and Illinois and so forth. Jesus said, "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia writes".
You know some of what Jesus says to the other six churches is pretty hard to hear, you have a name that you are alive but you're dead; you've left your first love, you allowed that woman Jezebel to seduce and teach my servants, but to Philadelphia none of that, "Thou hast kept the word of my patience," Revelation 3:10.
Every church ought to be a Philadelphia, a church of brotherly love, of building one another up, where God's people display real Philadelphia, the world will be a completely different place. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
