John Bradshaw - Did They Pray?
People forget, don't they? It's hard to know how you could forget something like this, but they did. God told Solomon that if the time should come that there was no rain, well let's look at this.
1 Chronicles 7:13 and 14, God said, "If I shut up heaven that there be no rain... if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".
God said "If I stop the rain, turn to me and pray in repentance and I'll forgive you and heal the land".
Just over a hundred years after God gave that assurance a crippling drought affected Israel, did they pray? No they didn't; when it gets tough, turn to God. Turn to God sincerely and be sure you turn to God quickly. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
