John Bradshaw - Christ the Redeemer
The statue known as Christ the Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil sits atop a mountain on the outskirts of City, depicting Jesus with his arms outstretched. The 125 feet tall statue is an icon in Brazil, it's said to symbolize peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, he said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".
The only way to find peace with past mistakes is through the forgiveness Jesus offers. Forgiveness isn't simply a judicial process, but an experience that frees you from the corrosive effects of guilt.
The Mayo Clinic says forgiveness improves the health of your heart, and lowers blood pressure. It's good for you. There's a Redeemer with his arms outstretched. If you will come to him today, you can be redeemed, and you can be forgiven. I'm John Bradshaw, for It Is Written.
