John Bradshaw - He Didn't Remember
Siblings were gathered talking about their childhood, and a sister said to her brother, 'we remember you coming home late after playing soccer with your friends, and the spankings dad would give you because you got home so late' the brother looked confused; his sister said, 'surely you remember that,' and he said 'I honestly don't all I remember is how much my father loved me.'
How powerful is that? He didn't remember those difficult times because of the father's love; of course, discipline is not inconsistent with love, but let's remember Ephesians 6:4, "And you fathers do not provoke your children to wrath but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord".
Children become adults, and every last one of them will look back on their childhood, let them remember love, let them remember your love, and let them remember the love of God. I'm john Bradshaw for It Is Written let's live today by every word
