John Bradshaw - Pet Rocks

John Bradshaw - Pet Rocks
TOPICS: Every Word

Students of history will recall that in the United States in the 20th century, an odd phenomenon occurred when people started buying pet rocks; a man came up with the idea after talking with friends about the perfect pet.

He sold them in individual custom cardboard boxes with straw and breathing holes; the fad caught on quickly and died out just as quickly, but in six months or so, about a million pet rocks sold, and its creator became a millionaire, but after enduring lawsuits and harassment Gary Dahl wondered if it had been worth it.

Now here's something that doesn't come and go, Isaiah 40 verse 8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever". Don't let your faith be a fad; turn to God every day, invite him into your life every day; it's always worth it. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
