John Bradshaw - No Less Spectacular
Every so often, you'll hear an especially remarkable testimony, a murderer, or an addict, or a career criminal who was changed by God, which is fabulous, of course, but something that's no less remarkable is the life that was always lived for God. Now even that person had to find Jesus for themselves, but it's no less spectacular that someone was raised in the church, lived a good clean life, and never went off the rails.
Paul wrote to the young church leader Timothy and said, in 2 Timothy 1:5, "When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also".
Timothy was raised to know and serve God, and that stayed with him. Grace that calls a person back is amazing; grace that keeps a person is no less amazing. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written, let's live today by Every Word.
