John Bradshaw - Who Was at Fault?
How do you react when someone is intentionally, constantly annoying you? Okay, maybe you should keep that to yourself. A young woman who was demon-possessed followed the apostle Paul as he was carrying out ministry, shouting at the top of her voice.
Acts 16:18 says, "And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, 'I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her,' and he came out that very hour".
Notice who Paul addressed: the evil spirit. Paul wasn't angry with the poor young woman; she was a victim. He recognized it was the devil causing the trouble. Wouldn't it be better if we extended that kind of understanding to others? Don't get angry with people, it's the devil bothering you. Remember that. Remember you're in a spiritual war on this earth, and it'll definitely change your approach. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
