John Bradshaw - We the People

John Bradshaw - We the People
TOPICS: Every Word

It became evident that the young nation needed guiding principles, so James Madison and others wrote a document that would provide a framework to establish the government while providing certain rights for its people, "We The People" of the United States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America.

On June 21 1788, The Constitution went into effect. For the Christian the constitution is the Word of God. It's there that we derive our identity, and receive from God guidance for our lives. Another James wrote these words, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves". Doers of the word, the Bible, still the guide for the people of God. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
