John Bevere - What Keeps us Inside God's Will
TOPICS: God's will

So I finish the book, and when I do, I say, "God, why this book? Why is this book so important compared to the others?" The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "It's a calibration message." Now, I understand calibration; that’s when you make a machine read correctly. But I thought, I don’t just want surface knowledge. Since the Holy Spirit revealed this to me, I want to truly explore it.

I found that the word calibration is most frequently used for gas detectors in chemical factories. Why? Because federal law requires that every room in a chemical factory has a gas detector; just a little toxicity can damage people for life or even kill them. I know this because my dad worked for DuPont for 40 years. The company that makes most gas detectors is called Honeywell. I went to their website and asked how to calibrate their gas detector, which led me to the calibration page. What really intrigued me is that it stated you need to calibrate these gas detectors every day. Why? Because the atmosphere in the chemical factory corrupts the sensors.

So, how do they calibrate the gas detector? They bring it into a clean air room, clean the sensors, zero out the machine, and then put it back into the factory so it can accurately detect toxins in the air. Well, your heart is your sensor. We live in a corrupt environment called the world, and every day, we need to enter a clean air environment, the Word of God, the presence of God. Why? So that when we go back out into the world, we won’t be conformed but will prove what is the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God.
