You don't just speak the truth; you speak the truth in love, and that's the thing that the Lord said to me. Make sure when you open your mouth to bring correction to people or instruction that they might not want to hear, it comes from a heart filled with love for them, not out of an "I-told-you-so" attitude or looking down on them. Make sure it's out of a heart of love, a heart willing to lay your life down for that person. Let me tell you something: you may want to be popular, but I want you to ask yourself the honest question: who's the focus of your love, and is that desire for popularity for you or for the people you love?
