John Bevere - Where Good Comes From

This is why James comes up in the New Testament. Now watch this: James says, «Do not be deceived.» See, if God says, «Don’t be deceived,» I have good news for you: you can live deceived-free. Would you please look at it like that? This is how you live deceived-free: every good gift and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
You know what James is saying? There is nothing good for you outside of God; that’s simply what he’s saying. I don’t care how good it looks or how beneficial it seems; there is a way that seems right, but if it’s not from God, it’s not good. Because every gift is from Him, that means there is nothing good outside of Him. Are you getting this?
So my question is: where does the standard of good come from? Paul tells us: he says, «All Scripture.» Read this: «All!» Everybody say «all Scripture,» not 40 percent of the New Testament scriptures. Amen, that’s right! I’m going to tell you again: a lot of people in deception these last days is not what people are saying; it’s what they’re not saying. Paul said, «I am innocent of the blood of all men because I did not shun to declare to you the whole counsel of God.»
