I think we need to pray for our nation like never before. I think we need to proclaim the truth to our nation like never before because we have a confused people in this nation. We think we can have God and salvation while twisting and perverting His ways. Sorry, that’s not true. Today, in our society, we say if it’s good, then it’s God. Unfortunately, we’ve reduced goodness to our own standards.
If good is so obvious, why does Hebrews chapter 5 tell us we must have discernment to recognize it? Why does Solomon cry out to God at the beginning of his reign, asking for a heart that can discern between good and evil? It is the good side of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that Eve is drawn to, not the evil side. There is a goodness that is very rebellious to God; it is not submitted to Him. For the first time in my life, when God showed me this, I realized how even the elect will be deceived in the last days. They won’t be deceived by blatant evil, like satanic rock concerts; they will be deceived by a goodness that is so deceptive but is purely rebellious to God.
