Dutch Sheets - Jezebel is Being Thrown Down (01/18/2026)
In this Give Him 15 post, Dutch Sheets declares that God is raising up a modern threefold cord like Elijah, Elisha, Hazael, and Jehu to confront and throw down the Jezebel spirit influencing America, drawing directly from the biblical account in 1 Kings and 2 Kings 9 where Jehu overthrows the Baal-worshiping queen. He asserts that the Lord is restoring the proper biblical alignment between spiritual and civil government as intended by America’s founders, who based the three branches on Isaiah 33:22. Chuck Pierce’s Word
My prophet friend Chuck Pierce said to me a few days ago, «The Lord is going to raise up a threefold cord like unto Elisha, Hazael, and Jehu.» The Lord told Elijah to anoint these three men in the latter part of his ministry so they might finish what he had started. Doing so represented a marriage of civil and spiritual government—a union of the prophet and those who sat in governmental seats. The Lord instructed Elijah to anoint Elisha as a prophet in his place, and to anoint Hazael king over Syria and Jehu king over Judah.
Restoring the Pattern in America
I believe God is restoring this pattern in America, just as it was when He founded her. Even now, during this election battle, the Lord is anointing apostles and prophets to speak the truth and support those He has placed in government. God combined civil and spiritual government when He established America. Our founders did not espouse today’s separation between the two. Biblically, all government is supposed to flow from God’s authority. In fact, our founders believed it was impossible to rightly govern without Him. The framers formed our government based on Isaiah 33:22: «For the Lord is our judge”—judicial branch; „the Lord is our lawgiver”—legislative branch; and „the Lord is our king”—executive branch.
In our day, God wants to restore the revelation that He is the source of government, and that for government to function properly, it must flow from Him. We need individuals in office who will seek His wisdom and guidance, which of course comes at times through spiritual leaders. One of the first things individuals aligned with the Biden campaign have said will have to go is, quote, „the infiltration of the religious right into government, ” end quote. We are now infiltrators. They want Christianity out of government, relegated only to our churches—actually, some don’t want it to exist at all. The antichrist spirit operating through these individuals would love to shut down the church entirely. We cannot let this happen, which is one of the reasons we cannot give up this fight.
The Jezebel Spirit
If Biden wins, there are those controlled by a Jezebel spirit who will come into office immediately. These people hate the fact that President Trump asks for prayer and has appointed many believers to governmental offices. They hate the fact that Christian leaders are called on to pray for and advise governing leaders throughout this administration. They don’t understand, or simply don’t believe, that this is the way God and America’s founders intended our government to work.
Back to Elijah, Elisha, Hazael, and Jehu
Let’s go back to Elijah anointing Elisha, Hazael, and Jehu. They were anointed to deal with Jezebel, who was a worshiper of Baal. She supported many prophets of Baal and killed prophets of Yahweh. But as she primped in front of her mirror and mocked the Holy Spirit, Elisha was prophesying, and Jehu was on the move. Her days were numbered.
Just as the days of that spirit are numbered in America today, God will not tolerate her, nor can we. We must pull her down in the spirit. We must be bold, prophesying our nation’s future as God has ordained it. We must decide and decree what the future of America looks like, not allow the prophets of Baal—the godless left, the media, and other haters of God—to do so. We must declare like Samuel Adams at the signing of the Declaration of Independence: „We have this day restored the Sovereign, to whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven, and from the rising to the setting sun may His kingdom come.“ At the signing, some wept; others, like Witherspoon, bowed their heads and prayed.
Scripture: 2 Kings 9:30–33
Second Kings 9:30–33: „When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out of the window. As Jehu entered the gate, she said, ‘Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master? ’ And he lifted up his face to the window and said, ‘Who is on my side? Who? ’ Two or three eunuchs looked out at him. And he said, ‘Throw her down.’ So they threw her down.“
Things to Pray About Today
Things to think about today as you pray: Declare, „These are the days of Elijah, Elisha, Hazael, and Jehu. These are the days Jezebel will be thrown down.“ Say, „The Ekklesia will no longer tolerate Jezebel in our churches or in our government. We will no longer tolerate the sacrifice of our unborn to Baal. Our children will be saved.“ Intercede for the church in America to be pure and holy. Pray for proper alignment between the church and government. Call for God’s influence in government according to Isaiah 33:22. Call for that influence to increase over the next four years. Decree into our government those things with which God wants to bless America: truth, justice, righteousness, righteous laws, First Amendment freedoms, and many other blessings.
A Prayer to Agree With
Here is a prayer we can pray together: Father, we say the days of the Jezebel spirit ruling America are over. To all those who would seek to pervert Your ways and raise up prophets of Baal, we ask that they fall from their elevated places. Bring them low; end their rule in this nation. Deliver our children from being sacrificed on the altar of Baal. The blood of millions cries out from the ground. Lord, we declare that our houses of worship will stand. No longer will they be perverted or destroyed by compromise. Immorality will be removed from Your church. The Jezebel spirit is being brought down in America, and it will be removed first from the church—no more toleration.
We decree that a new purity and holiness movement will sweep across the land. Your bride is being purified; she will be in the world but not of it. We declare that Your people will bring purity to government. Their very presence in governmental offices and in support of those in office will bring righteousness, justice, and mercy to America. Corruption will be exposed in the light and driven out. A holy boldness is coming on legislators, and they will not remain quiet or complacent. Laws will be written that bring freedom to people instead of weighing them down in fear and hopelessness. Judges will be appointed who rule with confidence, righteousness, and true justice.
Lord, You are welcome in the halls of America’s government, just as You were at the beginning. We decree these things to be so in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Today’s Decree
And our decree today: Truth in this election will dethrone Jezebel from her high place and reset the nation in God’s holy plan. Amen.
