Welcome and Introduction
Hello and welcome to Give Him 15 for Sunday, November—or December, excuse me—December the 13th. The title of today’s post is «Advance to the Rear.» My friend Duane Miller dreamed about me on December the 1st. In the dream, Winston Churchill came to me and gave me portions of two of his speeches. He said to me, «Release the spirit of these words, and you will prevail.»
Churchill's First Quote
The words come from speeches Churchill made during the trying days of World War II. The first quote that he gave me: «Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. Do not let us speak of darker days; let us speak rather of sterner days. These are not dark days; these are great days—the greatest days our country has ever lived; and we must all thank God that we have been allowed, each of us according to our stations, to play a part in making these days memorable in the history of our race.»

Churchill's Second Quote
And the second quote he gave me in the dream: «We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. And even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.» Wow.
The Spirit of Determination
In light of that dream, I am praying today that the spirit of those words enter you. George Patton, a contemporary of Churchill’s, once said, «It is the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, which ensures victory.» So true. In one difficult battle, when told by his officers of the need to retreat, Patton is quoted as saying, «Retreat? Hell, we’ll advance to the rear.» You gotta love it. I’m asking Holy Spirit to raise up spiritual warriors in America—men and women with hearts aflame for the purposes of God: human torches, passionate warriors, committed warriors, and yes, patriot warriors.
Call to Prayer for Georgia
Tonight, we will be warring for Georgia. That state has become ground zero for control of the U.S. Senate. The runoff election is coming up on January the 5th. Early voting begins tomorrow. Join us tonight on our YouTube channel at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time and war with us for this election. We must contend for life, for the values we believe in, and for the destiny God intended for America. Luke 9:62, Jesus said to them, «If any man puts his hand to the plow and turns back, he is not fit for the kingdom of God.»
As you think about your prayers today for the nation, ask Holy Spirit to impart to you a tenacious warring heart. Read the words of Churchill again slowly. Ask Holy Spirit to put that level of determination in you. Declare that having put your hand to the plow, you will not—you will never—turn back. And continue to pray for Georgia. Ask for appropriate resolution to their ongoing election battles. Intercede for the January 5th runoff elections for the two Senate seats in Georgia.
Corporate Prayer
And here’s a prayer we can pray together now and agree for our nation and for the state of Georgia. Father, we ask You for the fulfillment of the dream You gave Dwayne Miller. We ask for a tenacious spirit to be imparted to the ecclesia in America. Give us fervent passion to see Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this nation. May we fight for Your purposes as we would fight to save our very lives. Bring fresh revelation of Your plan to use America as the strongest voice on earth for the gospel of the kingdom. We pray that this would be revived in our day.
And Father, grant breakthrough in Georgia. Uncover everything that needs to be uncovered. Show the concerned legislative leaders there how to deal with the elections. We pray for Your will to be done in the Senate runoff vote. And I pray that You will—that You will—give favor to those who stand for life and for Christian values in our nation. Intervene in this election, we pray.
Decree and Closing
And our decree for today is: We decree that God is releasing a new level of passion and determination to the church of America. Thank you. Never give up.
