Creflo Dollar — Reacquainted With The Holy Spirit
I'm gonna talk to you tonight about being reacquainted with your unseen partner, the Holy Spirit, and over the years, if you'll notice, it has been a subject that has been somewhat put aside, a subject where people have even come to the place where they were a little bit ashamed to let people know that they even knew about the Holy Spirit, and you wouldn't dare tell people you speak in tongues for fear of being mocked for doing so.
And there have been times where people have referred to people who were filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues as ignorant people, and yet this year is going to be a year that things are gonna happen in your life that you cannot even explain how it happened.
It is gonna be a time where the Holy Spirit will begin to reintroduce himself to the world, and even those who didn't believe will have to submit to the fact that there must be a Holy Spirit because there's no way that this can happen in the natural.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to move into the realm of the supernatural, a spiritual world and a spiritual realm where it is not gonna be by your natural abilities that you see things come to pass, but it will be by the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God and the grace of God working together. You have to understand this.
The Bible refers to the Holy Ghost as the Spirit of grace, and you're gonna see the Spirit of grace guide you into all the truth of his grace, and there are gonna be things that you don't deserve and things that you haven't worked for and things that you have not earned, and the Holy Ghost will show up and do it anyway, just to hear it out of your mouth, "This is the Lord's doing, and it's marvelous in our eyes."
So, let's do it right now. "This is the Lord's doing, and it's marvelous in our eyes." Oh, he's gonna give your eyes something to see, and he's gonna give your ears something to hear, and the frustration of your life is going to be removed because you're gonna see the light of the glorious gospel like you've never seen it before.
And there'll be times where you'll walk in a peace that can't even be explained, a peace that passes all of your understanding, and hallelujah, you're not gonna be worried about what you don't have, because the Holy Spirit will cause your confidence to rise up strong, knowing that if he did it once, he'll do it again.
Zechariah chapter 4:6 says this, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.'"
You see, religion has allowed us as Christians to come to the place where we really think it was our ability. We really thought, "It was by my might." We thought, "It was by my education." We thought, "It was by my experience." We thought, "It was by, you know, something that I had in the natural that caused this thing to live," and I'm telling you this year that's gonna be resolved. You will know it wasn't by your might. You will know it was not by your power. Honey, when God finishes with you, you will acknowledge, "This is the Holy Spirit."
Now, who is the Holy Spirit? He's the third person of the Trinity. He's not an it. He's not a thing. He's not something spooky. He's the third person of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We're not talking about three different gods. We're talking about God functioning as Father, God functioning as Son, and God functioning as the Holy Spirit.
You've heard about God functioning as Son, and you've seen the ministry of Jesus Christ in the earth and the power of his grace that's come. You've heard about God functioning as a Father, and you refer to him as Father God, but very few have come to understand God functioning as the Holy Spirit and functioning in the Holy Spirit, and you're gonna see the functioning of the Holy Spirit and have an understanding of the Holy Spirit in this Earth.
See, what we don't get is this: the Holy Spirit indwelling your body. You have to have a body and a mind for the Holy Spirit to do that. You won't need him after you go to heaven. His function and purpose is specifically while you're on the earth, while you have a physical body, and while you're in the process of renewing your mind. That is his function. The Holy Spirit is not some Casper the friendly ghost. He's God, God functioning as the Holy Spirit.
