Creflo Dollar — Seeking the Kingdom
Do you trust God and seek Him first in everything, including in your finances? You know, I ask this question because I've realized that financial stewardship is not about the money, it's about trusting God.
Anytime you find yourself bragging about something that happened and giving God a little credit, "Well, you know, I prayed, but, see, after I prayed, the Lord told me to do this, and when I did that," you know, you're crediting yourself with the performance.
No, no, no, no, no. Everything that happens good in your life, it ought to go to one place. "Jesus did that, and I give Him the praise, hallelujah." You've got to change the way you're thinking about money. You've got to change the way you think about prosperity.
"Well, what--how should-- what should I change it to?" You should change it to what the Word of God says, and you should change it to understanding that under the grace of God, it is not your performance, it is not your self-effort, it is not your past record of giving. It is this one thing: "Do I trust God?"
