Christine Caine — I Am Woman, Hear Me...

Let me just backtrack a bit. Speaking around the world it didn't matter whether I was in Kiev or in the Ukraine or in Australia or in North America, the number one question I'm asked without exception is "Christine, how do you do it all? How do you do the marriage, motherhood, ministry, travel, life, and all of that? Is it possible?"

A lot of women were really kind of struggling with this and they asked me across all continents -- India, I got the same questions in a forum with women. I thought, it is interesting, in the 70s we had our feminist revolution and we got it all: Equal opportunity, affirmative action, we got it all, we can do it all and now we don't know if we want it all and we're all having a nervous breakdown.

So you know, even in the church there has been a great flow of women really understanding who they are in Christ and understanding maybe God has something for me to do.

But then if that's not put in the right context of who we are in Christ and what God has for me to do and not having this out there picture of a woman that does it all, sort of walks away from marriage, family, children, and life and sort of pursues God, I think we've confused about what the all is, what is it to be a successful Christian woman.

And really, it goes back to saying, okay, let's define what all is. What is your all? And I think it all really comes down to our identity, our significance and our security being found in Christ.

And from there, when we get our value from him, then we're not looking for our value from our all: Who I am, what my title is, what my position is, our value is gained from him. Then out of a place of wholeness and strength then we can give our all to serve God's all for our life.
