The preacher shares that true redemption includes God’s full provision for every need, illustrated through Peter’s miraculous catch of fish in Luke 5 after obeying Jesus' word despite past failure. Redemption and Divine Provision
Redemption is not complete without divine provision. One more time. Redemption is not complete without divine provision. God said, I am coming to comfort Zion. That means everything that is making you uncomfortable is about to be removed.
So that is why you got the healing service tacked on to this, because everybody needs to be made whole. I said, I do not care what you have got. Missing a part? I got one in the storehouse. Come on, come on. Your eardrum. You need another one? I got one there.
No Excuses for God’s Power
Oh, pastor, you do not know I am 80 years old. Does not make any difference. You are going to be long and strong. As long as you are in this earth, you are going to be walking around. Come on now. Stop making excuses for God being able to be the Father of your life.
He has got everything for you. It is all set up. He is ready to do it, and He is ready to do it in this meeting. I am saying you come expecting whatever is broke to be repaired. Whatever is missing to be replaced. Come on. Because glory. Hallelujah.
Personal Testimony: From Pressure to Provision
All right, let us keep going. So Luke chapter 5. Now, what happened to me? I got hired by a company called IBM in computers. I had just come out of flying fighters. I was still in the National Guard at that time, flying, and I had just come out of the military.
And so they recruited me for IBM computer sales. So here I was. Now I am supposed to be a salesman in computers. Well, I am a hotshot fighter pilot. I said, anybody can do this. So they sent me to training for a year.
Facing Financial Pressure
I got done with training, and they put me on something called quota. Quota says we are going to cut your salary back, and we are going to take your salary and cut it in half. And the rest you are going to have to make up through commission.
All right. First month did not sell anything. Meanwhile, salary cut in half. Meanwhile, baby needs a new pair of shoes. Come on. School notes. Tuition due. Mortgage. Car note. Now, what is coming on me? Pressure.
Pressure is coming down and my blood pressure is going which way? It is going up. And most people that pressure is on them and causing that pressure to rise. And if they can ever get rid of this provision crisis and stop looking for these provisions, that in itself is something like 80 to 90% of bringing that pressure back down.
Worldly Solutions vs. God’s Way
Now, what happened to me? So I said, wait a minute, second month did not sell a thing. Now what am I doing? I said, hey, I got to do something here. Now what am I going to think? Like, I am not thinking like God. I am thinking like the world.
Because that is all I have been trained to do. Let me get a second job. Got a second job. I went to the first job at IBM from 8 to 5 and then left there. Got the second job at 6:00 and worked till 11 at night.
Now I am working six days a week. One day of rest and I slept all day. And what time do I have to really spend with my family and so forth and so on? Are you following what I am saying? So the enemy has got the system out here that he puts you on this treadmill and sees how fast you can run.
Discovering Faith Through Teaching
Now, what am I trying to do? Make ends meet. Trying to put it together. But I am trying to do it the world’s way. And that brings sorrow. So now I got to incorporate God. What happens? I am listening to radio and listen to this man talking about no matter what the days may bring, something down, the Word is working mightily in me.
The Word. Man, who is that? I did not even listen to that kind of music. And so what happened is I began to listen to what he was talking about. Man said he pointed at his bills. Boom. Pointed at a house, apartment building to sell and it sold.
Man, who is this? So I kept listening. All of a sudden, something started going into my spirit. Then I said, man, I need that. But you got to be born again to get it. So what happened? I said, well, I need to be born again.
Born Again and Filled with the Spirit
So one night in my apartment by myself, it just all came down on me. I mean, just everything. And I just was. Tears came out of my eyes about 2:00. I said, Lord, would you please help me?
Well, the Bible says, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Am I right about it? So what happened then? What happened is somebody came by my place at work. The young lady, about 3 or 4 days later, she said, hey, Bill, you want to go with me tonight?
I was single, she was single. She looked good. I said, yeah, now this before I was married, just before I was married. And so what is happening? We went to the meeting. She pulled me, north side of Chicago, pulled up into a schoolyard, so forth, went into a back door and auditorium.
People raised their hand, shout and praise, and God said, whoa, what is this? I stepped off into here now. But then what happened was the man of God saw me, said, God loves you, brother, and came and hugged me.
Breakthrough Through Faith
And something inside of me just melted. And that night I gave my life to the Lord. Man of God laid hands on me. Pow! Now I understand I am drinking Maalox three times a day. Why? Because my stomach is having problems.
Why? Because of what? Pressure. And this world system is designed to put pressure. And so what happened? Okay, now I start reading the Bible and stuff, start jumping out of there that I could not see before.
I tried to read it, but, you know, it was just stories. But now I am filled with the Holy Ghost and my eyes are open and I start saying, wait a minute. I can sow and reap here. That I do not need to rely on my own performance.
Abundance in the Covenant
I can rely on God’s provision. That Jesus—I am just saying what I did now. So I start sowing and next thing you know, boom, closed the order. Next thing you know, boom boom. Now I am paying my tithe, sowing seed and so forth.
Now things are really getting good. They got so good till I go and see my boss and said, hey Warren, what do you need this month? He said, Bill, can you help me out this month? Now that is what I learned from Brother Copeland, that when you go to that job, it is not that you are going to that job looking for them to be your source.
You are supposed to be helping them meet their bottom line. I did not get a lot of amens on that, but I do not care. So then, of course, I got promoted because I got to be number one salesman downtown in Chicago. So I got promoted.
Thriving in Economic Crisis
Now this thing is working now, so it is going to make me ten times better. So next thing you know, I am a manager now. Now, economic crisis hits, but the economic crisis cannot affect the covenant.
It does not make any difference because I am hooked into a new economy. So I am, because I am hooked into a new economy. It does not make any difference what this economy out here is doing. It has no bearing.
So what did I do? I was with other managers and I was busy having a pity party every time we went to lunch because it was so bad, the economy was so bad. And God said, what are you doing? I said, I am having a party.
He said, listen, I did not teach you that. He said, go back to what you have learned. He said, My God shall supply all your need.
Speaking Faith in Tough Times
So what did I do? I sowed a seed. Next thing I know, the last day of the month I got up. My sister called me at 9:00 in the morning. Some of you may have heard the story, but you are going to hear it again.
She called me at 9:00 in the morning and said, how are you doing this month, brother? I said, I am doing just fine, thank you. And you call me back at 5:00 today I will have so much business I cannot put it on the books.
She laughed. I hung up, then I said, man, why did I say that? You know, out of the abundance of the heart, what happens? The mouth is going to speak. Now, are you able to live much above what you can think.
Miraculous Overflow
So what happened was about 12 noon, people start calling in. Hey, Bill, I just got a big order, so-and-so. I would bring it on in. So once they brought it in. I am not bragging on me now. I am just telling you what God can do.
And so once I brought it in at 5:00, I am booking business. I am booked enough for me. Booked enough for Leo. Booked enough. These are other managers now. Booked enough. Booked enough so forth.
And my boss was over my shoulder. He said, Bill, that is enough. Let us save some for next month. Now, why you stay with me? Why did he say that? Because of what I said. I said I will have so much I cannot put it all on the books. Say amen to that.
Luke 5: The Miraculous Catch
Man, I want to say so much. Boy, I got something for you. See, time does not tell you what to do. You tell time what to do. Faith makes time bow. All right. Look at Luke chapter 5, verse 1.
And it came to pass that when the people pressed upon Him to hear the Word of God, He stood by the lake of Gennesaret and He saw two ships standing by the lake. But the fishermen were gone out of them; they were washing their nets.
And He entered one of the ships, which was Simon’s. He prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land, and He sat down and taught the people out of the ship.
Launch Out into the Deep
Watch this. And when He had left speaking, He said to Simon, what? Launch out where? Into the deep, and let down your what? Nets for a what? A draught. Okay, now I looked that up in the Living Translation.
Here is what it says in the Living Translation. Launch out into the deep and let down your nets and you will catch a lot of fish. You will catch a lot of fish. Now let me give you the law. Whatever God will deliver into your hand must first be declared with your mouth.

Obeying Despite Failure
Now, a lot of people are trying to have God move and they do not step out there. They will not say anything; that faith is not being manifested. And what you got to do is say, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Ignore what people will think about you, because you have to understand that faith sometimes does not seem logical to the natural mind. But hopefully these teachings will help you embrace faith so that you can do exactly what faith said.
Let me just finish this. So what happened? And Simon Peter answered and said to him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken how much? Nothing. Nevertheless at Thy word I am going to let down the net.
The Overflowing Blessing
And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes. And what happened to the net? It broke, and they beckoned to their partners, which were in the other ships, that they should come and help them.
And they came and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. And when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
For he was astonished, and all that were with him at the draught of fishes which they had taken. And so was James, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not, from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
And when they had brought their ship to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.
God’s Hand Directing You
All right. So here is Simon. Jesus got in his boat. Why? Because of the hand of God directing the ministry of Jesus into a place where he was ready. And I am saying the reason why you are here today is because the hand of God was directing you into a place, because you are ready.
God is about to do something huge in your life. Now stop thinking small. Imma say that again. It does not sound prophetic, but it is. Stop thinking small. You are thinking too small.
From Toil to Blessing
So what happened? He took it, stepped in his boat, sat down and taught. Just like I am doing here. Just like you are here in this meeting. Then when He left speaking, He told him to act on the Word.
He said, now launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught. Large catch. Now understand, first of all, the time to fish was at night. But when you are in faith, it makes time bow.
So it does not make any difference what time it is. It does not make any difference whether it is a season. It does not make a difference. What makes the difference is faith.
Every Fish Jumped In
So what happened was now he said, we have toiled all night. So toiling—is he working under the blessing or under the curse? Under the curse. So now Jesus is going to switch him over to the blessing. For the blessing of the Lord brings wealth.
All right. So what happened? He said, nevertheless, at Thy word, I am going to launch out. He launched out. And when he did, he let down the net and inclosed so many fish until what happened to the net? It broke.
Now that you know, they probably let down that old raggedy net and so forth. And that is why it broke. Because the other fishermen’s net did not break. So but here is my point. My point is that every fish in that sea, that lake tried to get in that net.
I said every fish tried to get in that net. Now, like I heard Brother Copeland say this, did not one fish stand back and say, not today, Jesus. Not one fish. Every fish tried to get.
Demonstrating the Gospel
Now I am saying this is a perfect illustration of the Scripture, because then Peter called for his partners. They filled up theirs. Same thing I did with IBM. I filled up theirs. So God is not going to give you just enough. Come on.
He is going to use you because your witness. See, the gospel was never meant to be dictated. It was meant to be demonstrated. God sends the righteous among the wicked on purpose.
Grace and New Assignment
Now, the reason why is because through your demonstration, He is going to produce a platform that people will see your God and want to be a part of what you are doing. Say amen to that.
So this is what happened because 20 or some years later, one of the managers came and got saved at our church. And he said, I still remember what you did. That was a miracle in his life that he could not explain and caused him to get saved.
Say it with me now. So here is Peter. So what does he do? He throws himself. Glory to God. Now he comes to the shore, throws himself down at Jesus' knees, saying, go away from me. I am a sinful man.
Now you see the grace of God. You see the grace of God. It is God’s willingness to do something on your behalf, even though you do not deserve it. I am saying he sees the grace of God.
From Provision to Purpose
He sees God moving inside of him beyond his performance. He sees something even though he did not deserve this. Look what God did for him. And I am saying even glory to God.
So here is Peter as he falls down, he says, away from me. I am a sinful man. Here is what Jesus said. You have been trying to catch fish, but let me get you into your real assignment. Got it.
And then He told him, you are going to catch men. And Peter left all and followed Him. Why? Because once you get the provision thing fixed, it is amazing how you can see what God wants you to do.
It is amazing what happens when people are only running after provision, because most of them are in a job they cannot stand. They know that is not their vocation. They know that is not their purpose, but they are in it because of provision.
Healing Miracle in McDonald’s
And I am saying this meeting is going to get your provision thing right. And that provision thing right. Watch. You are going to get a revelation of where you are supposed to be and what you are supposed to do.
Now the last thing. So here I was. I was coming to do a funeral in Chicago, and as I was coming to do that funeral, I got there, but it was two hours early. And the next thing I know, I learned that.
And I said, well, listen, is there a place I can get a cup of tea? He said, yeah. I said, what can I get it? He said, two blocks down, there is a McDonald’s. I said, oh, okay, great.
I said, well, I will just go down there. He said, I will get a chauffeur to take you down. I said, no, sir, I will just walk down. Beautiful spring day. So I started walking down there.
This Is Your Day
As I started walking down there, next thing you know, as I crossed the McDonald’s parking lot and a lady shouted out from the car, there is the man of God! I said, man, who in the world is that?
So I going into McDonald’s. The door opened. There is the man of God. Now she has seen me on television and so forth and so on. That is what she said. I knew this was my day.
She said, I woke up this morning and something said, this is your day. And she said, you know, as she was walking toward me, you know, I knew it. I just knew it. She was a very heavyset lady with a cane.
I knew it, I knew this was my day. And she got closer, I said, this lady wants me to lay hands on her, and I am going to lay hands on her, too. I am all lay hands on this lady.
Releasing Your Breakthrough
So I am standing in line waiting to get me some tea. But she is placing a demand on a supply. Come on. You are a carrier for other people’s supply. So what happened? I said, in the name of Jesus, be healed.
And when I said that, boom, the cane went up in the air. I told you it was my day. Did I tell you it was my day? This is your day. This is your day. This is your week. Come on. This is your year.
Do not you leave here without your stuff. This is your day. Now give God a shout. Give Him a praise and take your day too. I said whatever has been held back in your life is going to be released in this meeting.
Whatever has been stolen is about to be returned in this meeting. Now, if you believe that give the Lord a shout of praise.
