Bill Johnson - Setup for Breakthrough
Hebrews says that God is the same; Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Here’s something that became really important to me a number of years ago: to catch these two phrases in Scripture, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” and “he’s no respecter of persons.” So what does that mean? That means the God who favored David several thousand years ago is no respecter of persons, and he’s the same today as then. This means I have access to the same demonstrations of God’s favor on me that he experienced. That’s amazing when you realize how God views us and our present situation! Add to that, he now sees you and me in Christ. So not only do I have the favor that David once experienced, but he treats me as his son, Jesus; he sees me in Christ.
