Rabbi Schneider — Journeying into Divine Love

TOPICS: Love

Shalom, Yedidim and God bless you, beloved ones. Welcome today to this edition of Discovering the Jewish Jesus. My name is Messianic Rabbi K. A. Schneider.

We're beginning a brand new series today, entitled the Song of Songs, Journeying into Divine Love. The Song of Songs is a book in the Bible that many of us have not studied before.

I believe, beloved, that your life will be greatly enriched as you tune in every week as we journey through this beautiful Word together, as we find the unveiling of God's emotions and the revelation of how he feels for us in this Book.

The Song of Songs is going to be interpreted prophetically. The Song of Songs has three main characters. I'm gonna talk about first of all who these characters were in the natural. And then we're gonna apply them to our lives prophetically.

The Song of Songs has three main characters. There's Jesus, who in the Song of Songs is paralleled by King Solomon the bridegroom king. Secondly, beloved, there's the Shulamite bride in the Song of Songs, which is prophetically realized in the Church.

And then we also have the Holy Spirit, whose voice is also seen in the Song of Songs. The Song of Songs was originally written, beloved, by King Solomon. It was one of over a thousand songs that he wrote. He was the most prolific song writer of his age, as far as we know.

And this particular song was written to a Shulamite bride that he was about to marry. But we are not going to be studying the Song of Songs simply as a love letter that Solomon wrote to his bride, we're gonna be looking at it, beloved, prophetically.

Here is the key that you need to understand, that is this, all Scripture the Bible tells us in the Book of Peter, all Scripture was given by God that men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. This is very critical.

I want to say as I take a side step here for a second, it's very important if you want to gain the most out of this study together that we're gonna be on for weeks ahead, that you get a notebook out, get a spiral notebook, have a spiral notebook, make it wide ruled, so you've got lots of space to write with.

Have you Bible with you every single week you tune into the broadcast, beloved. Get your notebook out, and get your, your, your Bible out and take notes. Now this is the first broadcast, so some of you don't have your notebook out yet.

But you know what, I broadcast on many, many networks, so just tune in to some of the other networks, and you'll find that if you are missing your notebook for this particular broadcast, you can go back and catch it on one of the other networks that I'm broadcasting on, and they're on different schedules, so you should be able to pick up.

But next week you wanna make sure you'll have your notebook and you'll have your Bible. Now here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna lay now a foundation for how we're gonna be studying the Song of Songs.

You need to understand this, beloved; this is one of the most important books in the entire Word of God. I believe that God is giving revelation now to his church on the Song of Songs because we're approaching the end of the age.

And in order to walk steadfast, and to remain in love during the days that we're heading into, we must have the revelation that the Father gives us in the Song of Songs. The Song of Songs reveals to us the emotional side of God.

In the Song of Songs, the Holy Spirit discloses to us how God feels about us; that he is in love with us, brother, and he has called the Church and destined the Church to be his bride. That's why everything culminates in the Book of Revelation.
